All reservations have a date, time, number of people and are placed in a section. Depending on the settings, each reservation is also assigned a table number. Additionally, a reservation also contains contact details and other properties.
For restaurant reservations, the reservations are placed directly on tables. This creates a clear picture of the table occupation. In some cases, the tables can be combined - thus, the calculations are done by ZAAL.
For reservations for other vendors, such as swimming pools or discotheques, the reservations are placed on the basis of a maximum capacity of a (virtual) space and other settings.
ZAAL is optimized for restaurants with table reservations but is also suitable for other vendors dealing with reservations. This makes ZAAL a unique reservation system that can be used for virtually any use case.
